You Can be Seen in a New Way.

Do you know that feeling when you want to try something new but are afraid of what the people closest to you might think?

Like maybe you want to:

  • learn a new skill

  • start creating a daily meditation practice 😉

  • start sharing your cooking recipes or poetry online

  • explore finding a method of movement that feels good to you

  • or revamp your presence at work to aim for that promotion you decided you wanted

Sure, it's hard enough to show up for ourselves in the first place and decide we want to commit to something.

And then... what about everyone else?

What will they think when they see us show up in a new way?

Will they judge us? Think differently of us? Look down on us?

Or maybe, so much of those fears are happening in our minds.

Sometimes there is value in creating an intentional space for us to show up in a new way—without being seen by our immediate community.

So maybe you join the local poetry group and start sharing your poems there.

Or you start sharing your recipes on a Facebook page for other aspiring chefs.

When I started to lead meditation, that space for me was InsightTimer.

A community of millions of like-minded people who were going to the app to meditate, reflect, learn about themselves, and grow.

It was a space I could show up as this new version of me exploring a new path—leading meditations.

It was a space for me to experiment, grow, and show up as the person I aspired to be, but didn't feel confident being yet. (at least maybe not to my closest community)

Somewhere along the way, showing up on InsightTimer helped me build my confidence as a meditation guide. I started to believe in this new identity.

Sure, it was the same me, but I was showing up in a new way.

And maybe there's still been a block for me to invite you to join me there, on InsightTimer.

So, here I am, feeling very ready to invite you to come join me on InsightTimer!

It's the only place where I host live, free meditations (I go live on there 2x / week)

Check out my profile and go to the 'Events' tab to see the dates and times and register.

It's free, y'all.

I also have courses like 'Cultivate Calm within the Chaos: An Anxiety Relief Course'.

This InsightTimer community started as a place for me to grow and build confidence and has ended up being an opportunity to connect with people around the world (and earn an income while doing it—like, over $1,000 last month). 🤩

Here's what I hope you can take from this newsletter:

  1. Maybe you need to create a similar safe space for yourself. A place to show up in a new way and do the work to become the person or create the things you want to create. What would that look like for you?

  2. I hope you'll join me live on InsightTimer! I share live meditations 2x a week and they are free to register and join.

Whenever you are ready, here are 3 ways I can support you on your meditation and mindfulness journey:

  1. Listen to my FREE podcast, The Inward Journey, with 100+ guided meditations and 2 new meditations each week.

  2. Take my self-paced course, Chaos to Calm, to learn how to use meditation and mindfulness to relieve your anxiety and create a new inner peace.

  3. Work with me 1 on 1: Sign up for a private meditation and journal session with me to dive deeper into your personal inward journey.

From my heart to yours,
thank you for being here.
