'Tis the season of savoring.
Hi my friend,
This past weekend, I had the sweetest reminder of what really matters.
We gathered to celebrate our baby on the way and were surrounded by friends, family, and people who feel more like sisters.
And instead of rushing or overfilling the space, we chose to slow down.
To savor. To truly be together.
mom + dad
We did things a little differently...
We didn’t open gifts.
We played just one game (baby trivia!!) which somehow became wildly competitive.
There was a wreath making station, a table for creating beautiful birth affirmations, conversation cards at every table, and a little note card where people shared their parenting tips.
Of course, I had to get a coffee cart so we could all have something delicious to sip on.
It was simple. Intentional. So full of love.
And... I blinked and it was over.
And even though I know I was present, it reminded me how easily moments like these can slip by when we’re moving too fast.
As we head into the holiday season (Christmas is 10 days away FYI lol) I feel that familiar pull again.
The pressure to find the perfect gifts.
The endless to-do lists.
The quiet worry that we’re not doing enough for the people we love.
And yet… all of that pulls us away from what we know matters most.
The quiet moments when the tree is lit and I’m playing the iSpy ornament game with my dad. Baking sugar cookies with my mom, laughing as we sneak bites of dough.
Loud, competitive board games with my husband’s family, full of love and chaos. Cozy quiet moments by the fire sipping on hot chocolate.
These are the moments I want to feel while they’re happening—not just remember later.
So here’s my gentle reminder (for me, and maybe for you too):
Let’s pause.
Let’s breathe.
Let’s really be here for it all.
Because the greatest gift we can give this season to ourselves and to each other—
is our full presence. 💛
there is so much here in the present moment
Journal Prompts FOR SAVORING EACH MOMENT 📓
What did I experience today that felt beautiful, peaceful, or meaningful — even in a small way?
Where in my day did I feel most present, and what allowed me to truly be there?
How can I invite more slowness and intention into the way I move through my life?
guided meditation for the week ✨
Return to the now and be here fully.
