Retreat Agreement

By registering for the Meditation Teacher Training Alumni Retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Retreat Overview

This retreat is intended to provide educational, experiential and community-based learning through meditation, workshops, outdoor experiences and group discussions.

Participation is voluntary, and each attendee is responsible for making decisions that honor their own physical, emotional, and mental well-being throughout the retreat.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space.

Because accommodations and retreat expenses are secured based on your registration, all payments—including the deposit—are non-refundable.

If you choose to cancel your participation for any reason, no refunds will be issued unless your spot can be filled by another participant. If your space is filled, any refundable amount will be determined at the discretion of the retreat organizer, less any non-recoverable expenses.

If the retreat must be canceled by the organizer, participants will receive a refund of retreat fees paid, excluding any personal travel expenses.

Travel Responsibilities

Participants are solely responsible for:

  • Booking airfare

  • Airport transportation

  • Transportation to and from the retreat venue

  • Travel insurance (strongly encouraged)

  • Any expenses related to delayed, canceled, or missed flights

  • Additional lodging or transportation costs resulting from travel disruptions

  • Any additional meals or snacks purchased during retreat

The retreat organizer is not responsible for travel delays, airline cancellations, weather events, lost luggage, transportation issues, or any expenses incurred before arrival or after departure from the retreat.

Health & Medical Responsibility

By attending this retreat, you confirm that you are physically and mentally able to participate.

You agree to inform the organizer of any significant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or limitations that may impact your participation.

The organizer is not a physician or licensed mental health provider and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

Participants remain responsible for their own medications, health care decisions, and personal well-being throughout the retreat.

Food Allergies & Dietary Needs

Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies communicated prior to the retreat.

However, the organizer cannot guarantee that meals will be free from allergens or cross-contamination.

Participants with severe food allergies assume responsibility for managing their dietary needs and acknowledge the inherent risks associated with shared kitchen facilities and catered meals.

Outdoor Activities & Assumption of Risk

This retreat includes optional outdoor activities such as hiking and walking on uneven terrain.

You understand that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Slips and falls

  • Uneven terrain

  • Weather conditions

  • Wildlife encounters

  • Physical exertion

  • Injury or illness

Participation in all physical activities is voluntary.

You assume full responsibility for determining your own physical capabilities and agree to participate at your own discretion.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Eileen Miles, Breathe Here Now LLC, The Intuitive Guide, retreat staff, contractors, and venue partners from any liability arising from:

  • Personal injury

  • Illness

  • Allergic reactions

  • Property damage

  • Theft or loss of personal belongings

  • Accidents occurring during travel or retreat activities

  • Any other claims arising from participation in the retreat

Medical Emergencies

The Retreat Guest is responsible for their own health and medical needs throughout the retreat.

In the event of a medical emergency, the Retreat Organizer will make reasonable efforts to contact emergency medical services and the emergency contact provided by the Retreat Guest.

The Retreat Guest acknowledges that the Retreat Organizer is not a medical professional and is not responsible for providing medical care or treatment.

The Retreat Guest is solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred during or as a result of the retreat and releases the Retreat Organizer from liability related to obtaining emergency medical assistance.

Confidentiality

This retreat is intended to be a safe and supportive environment.

Participants agree to respect the privacy of others and not disclose personal stories, experiences, or confidential information shared during retreat sessions without explicit permission.

Intellectual Property

All retreat materials, guided meditations, teachings, worksheets, presentations, handouts, recordings, and original practices shared during the Meditation Teacher Training Alumni Retreat are the intellectual property of Eileen Miles and Breathe Here Now LLC unless otherwise noted.

These materials are provided for your personal learning, reflection, and growth only.

Participants may not reproduce, record, distribute, copy, modify, sell, publish, teach, or incorporate any retreat materials, practices, frameworks, or curriculum into their own workshops, courses, teacher trainings, memberships, retreats, coaching programs, or other commercial offerings without prior written permission from Eileen Miles.

Attendance at this retreat does not grant permission to use or represent the retreat content as your own intellectual property.

Nothing in this agreement restricts participants from sharing their own personal experiences, insights, or transformations resulting from the retreat, provided they do not reproduce or teach the original content, materials, or proprietary methods shared during the retreat.

Photography, Media & Privacy

Photos and videos may occasionally be taken by the Retreat Organizer during designated portions of the retreat for future promotional, educational, or marketing purposes.

If the Retreat Guest prefers not to appear in photographs or videos, they must notify the Retreat Organizer before the retreat begins. Every reasonable effort will be made to honor this request.

To protect the privacy and emotional safety of all participants, no photos, videos, audio recordings, or other recordings are permitted during breathwork sessions, meditation practices, ceremonies, group sharing, or any experience involving personal or vulnerable moments.

Retreat Guests are encouraged to be fully present by limiting phone use during workshops, guided practices, and group activities. Please refrain from texting, scrolling, or taking phone calls during scheduled retreat sessions except in the case of an urgent need.

Any photos taken by Retreat Guests should be respectful, obtained with the consent of anyone who appears in the image, and should not capture participants during vulnerable or private moments.

Force Majeure

The organizer shall not be held liable for cancellation, interruption, or modification of the retreat due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, pandemics, venue closures, or other unforeseen events.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

The Meditation Teacher Training Alumni Retreat is intended to provide educational, experiential, and personal growth opportunities. The Retreat Organizer makes no guarantees regarding specific personal, professional, emotional, financial, or spiritual outcomes as a result of participation.

Emotional Well-Being

Retreat practices may evoke strong emotions, memories, or personal insights. Retreat Guests are encouraged to participate at a level that feels safe and appropriate for them and may choose to step out of any activity at any time. Participation in all practices is voluntary.

Personal Property

Retreat Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings at all times. The Retreat Organizer is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Alcohol, Drugs & Weapons

To help create a safe, supportive, and mindful environment, the Meditation Teacher Training Alumni Retreat is a drug and alcohol-free experience.

Retreat Guests may not consume, possess, distribute, or bring alcohol, illegal drugs, or any intoxicating substances onto the retreat property or attend retreat activities while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Retreat Guests may not leave the retreat to consume alcohol or other intoxicating substances and then return to participate in retreat activities.

Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives intended for use as weapons, or other dangerous weapons, are prohibited on the retreat property, except where expressly permitted by law and approved in writing by the Retreat Organizer in advance.

Any Retreat Guest who violates this policy or whose behavior is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or poses a risk to themselves or others may be asked to leave the retreat immediately without refund. The Retreat Organizer reserves the sole discretion to determine whether a violation has occurred.

Code of Conduct

Participants agree to contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment.

The organizer reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, abusive, unsafe, discriminatory, or significantly interferes with the retreat experience of others.

No refunds will be issued if removal becomes necessary.

Retreat Guests agree to treat fellow participants, retreat staff, the venue, and surrounding property with respect and care. Harassment, discrimination, violence, threatening behavior, or intentional damage to property will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the retreat without refund.

Personal Belongings

I understand that I am responsible for my personal belongings while attending retreat. I acknowledge that the academy and its instructors are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought onto the premises. By enrolling in this retreat, I assume full responsibility for safeguarding my personal property.

Agreement

By checking the box in the google form, I acknowledge that:

  • I have read and understand this agreement.

  • I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in the retreat.

  • I release the organizer from liability as described above.

  • I agree to abide by all retreat policies.

  • I understand the payment and cancellation policy.

  • I understand that retreat materials are for my personal use only and may not be used commercially without written permission.
