The One Thing You’re Forgetting When Trying to Clear Your Mind
Hello my friend,
You’ve probably heard it a hundred times: "Clear your mind."
It's a simple piece of advice, yet one that’s so elusive when we’re actually trying to quiet the chatter in our heads.
We all want that peaceful, clear headspace. Whether it's for focus, relaxation, or simply finding more calm amidst the chaos. But in all the effort to declutter our thoughts, there’s one key thing that many of us forget…
It’s not just about clearing your mind from thoughts; it’s also about creating space for something new.
I’ve been there, trying to push away every stray thought that pops up, convinced that if I could just stop thinking (!!!) I’d finally find the peace I long for.
But here’s the truth I discovered: the more I tried to empty my mind, the more frustrated I became. It felt like my thoughts were multiplying faster than I could catch them. 😅
The real shift came when I realized: it’s not about erasing thoughts, it’s about creating space for new ones.
Instead of striving for a blank mind, I started focusing on what I want to let in when I let go.
Here’s the thing my friend:
You can’t clear your mind by force. You clear your mind by being intentional with what you want to fill it with.
Try This ↓
Clear Your Mind with Intention
When your mind starts to race, gently guide it back to your breath and allow it to be your stead, calm anchor.
Now, put something behind your breath: focus on inhaling what you want to let in and exhaling what you want to let go.
Clearing your mind becomes a little bit easier when you invite something intentional into the space you’re creating.
Breathing in calm. Breathing out chaos.
Breathing in clarity. Breathing out confusion.
Breathing in love. Breathing out fear.
Breathing in ease. Breathing out worry.
Comment on this blog with what you are going to breathe in and what you are going to breathe out. I'd love to hear from you! 🤍
I hope this resonates with
you in some way
